Every design is made for the person who wears it — no stock templates from a catalog. Fineline and blackwork cleanly pulled through, micro-realism with substance, sketch style and lettering with a tone of their own. Piercing to surgical standard, jewelry exclusively titanium from German manufacturers. Two artists — Jana in Münchberg, Fabio from Amsterdam as resident. No big operation, but appointments where we genuinely have time for you.

Helix, tragus, conch, septum, lobe stacks, nostril, lip, nipple. Done by Jana — trained at the Skincademy in Stuttgart, to surgical standard. Jewelry exclusively titanium from German manufacturers. Anyone who's been pierced properly once knows the difference.

The organizational talent behind Skin & Art: purchasing, ops, the hands-on and technical side, web and advertising, merchandise. The all-rounder who keeps the place running — doesn't tattoo himself, but for everything around it, the first point of contact.

Skin & Art Society was originally meant to be in Amsterdam. Today the studio stands in Münchberg, Upper Franconia — and that's no compromise, but concept. Instead of leaving the city, the city comes to the studio: resident and guest artists from Amsterdam and beyond tattoo here regularly.
Münchberg is small. Whoever travels here for a tattoo from Bayreuth, Hof or further afield is looking for something specific — and that's exactly the concept. Not a walk-in studio in the center of a big city, but a place you make the trip for.
Founded in 2024 by Jana and Otto Schlemmer. Fabio from Amsterdam has been resident from the start — two weeks at a stretch on site every month.

Our daughters got their ears pierced, then my husband and I got tattoos. Consultation, design, execution — all perfect. Very clean studio, the whole team warm and welcoming.
