Before your appointment
How do I book an appointment?
The easiest way is the inquiry form on an artist's page (Jana or Fabio), or directly by phone or WhatsApp at +49 9251 4305962. We usually reply the same day, weekday or Sunday.
Do I need a finished idea, or do you help with the design?
Either works. You can come with a rough idea (keywords, references, body area) — we'll draw our own sketch from it. Or you already have a concrete reference; we take that as a starting point and adjust until it sits right.
What does a tattoo cost with you?
Tattoos start at €100. We estimate the actual price after the first consultation, where we discuss motif, size and body area — we don't have fixed list prices, because every piece takes a different amount of work.
Do you require a deposit?
For binding appointments we take a booking deposit (colloquially a “deposit”). The amount scales with the estimated total price: €50 for tattoos under €300, €100 for tattoos between €300 and €600, €250 for larger projects over €600. The booking deposit is credited toward the tattoo.
What happens if I have to cancel?
A no-show or a late cancellation means the booking deposit is forfeited — a missed slot is a direct financial loss for us, because it can no longer be filled. To reschedule or cancel we need at least 5 working days (Mon–Fri) notice. Anyone who simply doesn't show up without notice (no-show, no-tell) will find it hard to get a new appointment, or only against a larger booking deposit. Only in case of illness does the booking deposit remain untouched — please send us the medical certificate by email.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes, in two forms: digital in our online shop (the code arrives by email) or as a physical gift card here in the studio. Both are transferable — whoever receives the voucher doesn't have to be the person who redeems it.

During the session
Does getting tattooed hurt?
Noticeable, but manageable. Most people describe it as an intense scratching. Pain depends heavily on the spot — areas with thin skin over bone (ribs, collarbone, hands, feet) are more uncomfortable, fleshier areas (upper arm, thigh, calf) are easier to take.
How long does a tattoo take?
Small fineline pieces 60–120 minutes. Medium designs 2–4 hours. Sleeves and panel projects we split across several sessions of 4–6 hours. We discuss the exact duration at the first consultation.
What should I keep in mind before the appointment?
Come rested and well fed. No alcohol in the 24 hours before (it thins the blood and impairs ink uptake). If possible, no blood-thinning medication. Comfortable clothing that leaves the spot accessible. Bringing something to drink and a small snack is sensible for longer sessions.
Can I bring someone with me?
Sure — we're a family-friendly studio. Company is welcome, more than one person is fine too. There's a waiting area. We only ask that you keep things calm and hygienic in the treatment area.

Aftercare
How do I care for my fresh tattoo?
After the session you'll get written aftercare instructions. In short: wear the film for 2–3 days, then apply a thin layer of aftercare oil or cream twice a day. No rubbing, no sauna and no swimming pool for 4 weeks, avoid direct sun for 6 weeks.
How long does healing take?
Surface healing takes 2–3 weeks — after that the tattoo looks good on the outside. The deeper skin healing runs 6–8 weeks. During this time don't rub it with scratchy fabrics, avoid the sun, and cut back on intense sport if the spot would be heavily stressed.
Will I need a touch-up?
Rarely. If individual spots look too light after healing or lines are missing, we'll take a look — whether and how much we touch up is agreed individually, depending on motif, body area and how it healed. What's free and what gets charged (for example on heavily used spots like fingers) we settle together at the appointment. With normal healing, a touch-up is often not needed.
Category 4
Piercing
What jewelry do you use?
Exclusively implant-grade titanium from German manufacturers such as Wildcat. No surgical steel, no nickel-containing alloys. You get the first jewelry right when you're pierced, replacement jewelry after it has fully healed.
How long does a piercing take to heal?
Lobe (earlobe): 4–6 weeks. Cartilage piercings (helix, tragus, conch, rook, daith): 6–12 months. Nose and lip: 2–4 months. Navel: 6–9 months. Nipple: 9–12 months. Cartilage is always the most patient part.
When can I change the jewelry myself?
Only after it has fully healed — so for cartilage piercings no earlier than 6 months. For the first change, feel free to drop by; we do it properly in 5 minutes and you save yourself the frustration of jammed closures.
Do you pierce with a gun or a needle?
Exclusively with a single-use needle to surgical standard. Guns like the ones in jewelry shops crush tissue instead of cleanly piercing it and can't be reliably sterilized — we don't use them.

Cover-Up, age, getting here
Can any old tattoo be covered up?
No. Very dark or large tattoos often need laser sessions first to fade the original. At the consultation we look at the spot and tell you honestly what's technically possible and what isn't. Cover-Up is Fabio's specialty.
What's the minimum age to get tattooed?
18 without restriction. Between 16 and 18 only with written consent from a parent or guardian and their presence at the appointment. Under 16, not at all.
How far is Münchberg from my city?
Münchberg sits right on the A9 autobahn (Berlin–Munich) and is well connected via the A72 and A93. Hof about 20 minutes, Bayreuth 35 minutes, Nuremberg 70 minutes. Kulmbach, Weiden, Bamberg and Plauen are within the catchment area up to about 120 km. Parking right outside the studio.
